I was being sarcastic.
She is a very philanthropic human being but to expect her to do the work of the federal government is assinine.
I have no doubt that she will do something for the victims of this tragedy when she is ready.
Even Oprah can't help the clusterfuck that this has become.

2. Perhaps a donation. As a billionaire+, she can afford it.

Maybe Michael Jordan will step up. I doubt it. But, there are plenty others who see this as an opportunity, especially a political one. Look at those black looters. Vote against affirmative action, as you did against gay marriage, in 2006. Anybody want to bet that's not coming?

It's a plea of desperation. And a sign of helplessness that we're waiting for Santa/ Oprah/ Superman to save the human beings our government has failed.


Oprah should give. I hope she does, but she's not responsible for doing the government's job.

On the other hand, she has a lot of resources and connections that she can use to do a lot of good things. If she can save even one person, that person would appreciate it.

As to makeovers - I don't think starving or homeless people would need a makeover. However, I do think that helping people with toiletries and that kind of thing would help. I know you're being sarcastic - but anything is better than nothing.
