Scarborough calls Hastert out. |
Damn, boys and girls, the worm has turned. When Joe Scarborough calls the Repug Speaker of the House's comments vis-a-vis rebuilding NO "disgraceful"; then not only the rats, but also the able bodied seamen are all abandoning ship!

1. Scarborough is from a Hurricane prone district |
Pensacola, so he knows that that could be his old congressional district someday. He does not appreciate some fat pissant Midwestern congressman saying that a city should be bulldozed for being in a hurricane zone.

5. Reminds me of Cokie Roberts during the floods of '93 |
She thought farmers were stupid for putting their fields so close to the rivers. Cokie Roberts thinks food comes in cellophane wrapped packaging from the grocery store. Dennis Hastert thinks shipping works better on land. Is there a law requiring people who enter the beltway to become dumber than rocks?

7. Fortunately, I live exactly 2/10 of a mile west of the Capital Beltway. |
Otherwise, I might be offended.

8. Agreed. Probably beginning as soon as tomorrow. |
Bush will tour a couple of areas tomorrow and then read a poignant speech already prepared by his master speechwriters. He'll probably squeeze out a fake tear and pretend to choke up. Then he'll sound strong and resolved. The RW whores will ooh and ahhh and parrot everything their revered President says as though he's the bravest most wonderful man ever, Superman, saving the day.
I can hardly fucking wait.

9. I'm sure Rove is carving up the barking orders and the increased |
punishments for those who defect or speak openly. "Stay on message or die" likely in bold type.
