I am hearing there is martial law
But how in the fucking hell can you have martial law when there isnt one god damned person in the city to enforce it? This is the biggest fucking mess I have ever seen. I am so mad right now seeing all of this but something just keeps me watching it all. i think it is the disbelief that this country is so messe dup. If anything else major happens to this country i don't know what we will do. I am worried the economy is going to completely tank.

Your worries are correct. The economy will tank.
The tax cuts will be preserved, and the estate tax will be repealed. But, that will be the last damage Bush will do. He won't destroy Social Security - that's clear now - or the rest of the pathetic social safety net. I think I will remain employed - this time. But, who knows? Your worries are justified, my friend.

6. How the hell can bush and Congress keep the tax cuts when this
is going to cost billions and we are still paying for that illegal occupation of Iraq and gas is off the chart and on and on and on!

8. The stock market sure hasn't shown that yet.
All indices are broadly up from last week.

2. It sounds like the cavalry finally arrived from what one of the MSNBC
reporters said this evening.

It was dusk or after the sun set when she said the sky was full of helicopters and there are now armed troops all around - of course, she can only see her area but, hopefully, the military has finally arrived.

The economy is tanking. The stock markets are going through a "distribution," meaning the smart money is bailing, while the dumb money is still being brought in. The Fed's been pumping billions of dollars into the markets to prop them up, giving the smart money an exit.

The stock market is not the economy, but it's a big part of it, and indicates part of what's going on. The big story is the concerted devaluation of the world's currencies. Chrs
