If a government ruthlessly invades a foreign country, and slaughters its people, how long before it does the same to its own? For people like Bush, the solution to every problem is eventually violence. Every problem gets framed so that violence is eventually the solution. We are seeing it again.

4. Didn't Donald Rumsfeld say that...

a certain amount of looting was to be expected in times of turmoil? I mean, looting was allowed in Iraq long enough to allow the extremely valuable museum articles to be stolen and taken away to some wealthy person's private stash while Rummy turned a blind eye.

Of course, looting cannot be allowed in NO because the race and class problem prohibits certain types of people from attaining anything of value by stealing. Legal stealing is only for the rich and well-connected.

Can anyone say Ken Lay? Looting Enron?
