2. I have thought the same thing. For years.

I live in Michigan, with two of our very best progressive senators, Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow. And they won't spend any political capital. Geez, Carl, at least you - what are you waiting for at your age? Hell, I not only miss Paul Wellstone, I miss Paul Simon (not the singer, the senator). I even miss Gerald Ford, from my state. A decent man. He would have been appalled by Tom DeLay - and W and this horrendous crowd.
