I feel more "patriotic" now than at any time in a long time...

Even moreso than after 9/11. Why? Because I really feel that our nation is threatened right now, in more serious ways than it was after we were hit on 9/11. I feel our nation is very vulnerable right now. We really need to hang together. Our country needs us. It really does.

2. Me, too kentuck

Cindy Sheehan came to Houston tonight.

Saw her speak, along with about - I don't know maybe 350 people.

I was so angry when I arrived - thinking of how dubya has let us down. Not safe here, not safe there, not safe anywhere.

Oddly, much calmer now. She made me remember what I hold so precious about my country and as she said - it's about "we, the people".

I am sad that these horrible greedy mean-spirited people are in charge of the govt and the media. But I remember what we lost, and want it back.

I'm in for the long haul - and thanks to Cindy, I've regained a little of the serenity I needed for the fight.
