... food, water and clothing. I may have seen a few frames of video with someone carrying what appeared to be beer. But I haven't yet seen anything to suggest "most" people are "hauling around TVs and computers." Just the opposite: Most people are taking what they need to live.

I have people I know working there and they say different---not only that, my law and order conservative friend working search and rescue says exactly the opposite. Criminals, addicts and thugs are out there but in the minority and show me a picture of anyone looting electronics that was over 25 after day one of this mess.

I believe him, he's on site with police and been there since Monday afternoon. Decent people are all over that city and he himself saw "thuggish looking young men" (his words) pull a plywood board of food and drinks to stranded families they obviously didn't even know. We aren't hearing nearly all of what is going on in any sense but I'll take the word of the man on the scene who is a devout Baptist conservative Republican. When he says it, I believe it. As he said: "show me any place without criminals and here there are drug addicts on day 4 of withdrawal---they'll do anything"
