Condi Rice watching Spamalot in NY???

I don't know if this has been posted at all, I haven't been on DU all day. Heard through some other message board that New Yorkers were shocked to see Condi laughing it up at Spamalot last night????

Does anyone have a link to confirm this outrage????

that she did attended a "Broadway comedy" last night. Keith was quite sarcastic about her "rushing back to her over a mere 4 days after Katrina hit."

A fellow shopper, unable to fathom the absurdity of Rice’s timing, went up to the Secretary and reportedly shouted, “How dare you shop for shoes while thousands are dying and homeless!” Never one to have her fashion choices questioned, Rice had security PHYSICALLY REMOVE the woman.

And sure, I was hoping to help New York's recovery by seeing the show, and spending some money.

But you're the US Secretary of State! And there are a whole bunch of countries lining up to offer help to the Gulf Coast, who say they can't get through because your government isn't returning their calls? If you had the situation well in hand and didn't need any assistance, this would just be a diplomatic faux pas ... but if people are dying because nobody is answering the phone on your end, that's really bad!
