1. Some conservatives certainly do....
But freepers are by definition fanatic assholes, so most of them probably do not.

2. Nope
I've seen threads on free republic where they suggest
that the families opposed to bush/war/investigations
should "shut up" ...

They have no love of country , they only love bush and
the party ...Nothing else , and it's a dissgrace to
Patriots everywhere.

3. nah
No liberals died on 9/11. After all, 3,000 props can't have a political affiliation. Only empty chairs for Bush to point out at State of the Union addresses.

4. I think they are like most Americans
And by that I mean that I don't think they mourn or honor anyone who died in the 9/11 attacks, unless they personally knew them.

To most Americans, this event was just as intangible as Pearl Harbor was to anyone born after probably 1965. They didn't know anyone who was killed, they just know it led to a big war.

Most FReepers, like most of America, are caught up in the wave of faux patriotism and nationalism and are having too much fun waving their American flags to notice that 3,000 innocent citizens died.

They don't care. If they did, they would want 9/11 investigated and they would be concerned by Bush's lack of interest in bin Laden.

But the sad truth is, it doesn't matter. They view the deaths just as collateral damage. But it seems right to say "we will never forget", and it gives them an inflated sense of purpose.

It will be intersting to see, if it is ever revealed that Bush let 9/11 happen to further his agenda, how many FReepers are still screaming "never forget".

5. Good point. And what about those of other races and ethnicity
or sexual preference who happened to be killed on 9/11? I can't help but wonder about all the crocodile tears. New York City had been the object of intense scorn and hatred from these creeps for a full generation before the World Trade Center was destroyed, then, suddenly, it was all boo-hoo-hoo. What hypocrites! But, then , we know that about them, don't we?

6. Well, they probably imagine that everyone who died
Was a white, conservative Christian.

Terrorism has been going on for years, and these FReepers didn't really give a shit because Americans weren't dying.

Hell, Jerry Fallwell even said that 9/11 was God punishing New York for homosexuals and minorities.

And the FReepers seem to believe that the muslim extremists are left wing.

7. I wonder if the Bushies dare say anything nasty ...
About the anti-war 9/11 families?

http://www.peacefultomorrows.org/

Okay, silly question. They probably think all kinds of things, but don't want to be seen bashing them in public.

It looks like I may become involved in a couple of book projects soon, related to the health impacts of the WTC fires, and Bush's co-option of the attacks for propaganda purposes. I've decided that if I get any publication royalties, I will give the money to Peaceful Tomorrows ... I wouldn't feel comfortable if I received benefit from the deaths and suffering, even indirectly.

Unlike some in the administration.

8. yeah
i've brought up this point before, but who are the real america-haters in our country?

conservatives, who hate everyone who's registered or votes for a democrat (which i think is somewhere between 40-60% of the population), or liberals, because they believe in the Bill of Rights?

the reichstag fire was also an act of terrorism and the nazis were the terrorists.
