Is This Really It . . . Is bu$h & co. Going Down?
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 11:20 PM by Dinger
I can't do a poll it seems, but I'm askin' ya. . . .
Repukes turning on bu$h does not = regime over, but when I see the likes of scaryborough dissing his man, and others, I just can't imagine that will all fade away into another free pass. So, as for me, yes, I think this is it. It won't be long now.

1. Cindy gave them a black eye, Katrina one-twoed them to the mat, and
Fitzgerald may deliver the killing blow before long with his indictments.

Unless enough people come out and blast his handling of the disaster nothing will happen.

15. The media is actually on top of this.. And you can bet former
FEMA and other disaster management folks will be talking about how messed up the response has been.

It didn't have to be this way. Not at all.

4. My Take Is That They Are Going Down -- Fast
I saw the chimp standing between Clinton and Poppy today. He looked like he was scared out of his mind.

8. And Poppy and Clinton weren't allowed to talk after him because
that would have shown him up for the wooden puppet that he is.

(i saw that cow cud jaw thing for the first time. VERY disturbing.)

but then again, you are "preaching to the choir". Hard to say if the fundies are going to swallow the (gov't) lies or believe their (own lyin') eyes.

10. Never underestimate the ability...
...of the Bush propaganda machine to appeal to the worst in people.

By this time next week, after a week of 'shoot to kill' and 'zero tolerance', the haters and fearers, who have been knocked off balance by this calamity, will be back in the saddle, booted and stirruped and ready to ride out for another adventure in blaming the victim.

By this time next week, everyone without kin or friends in the disaster area will be far more fixated on gas prices than on what happens to a bunch of poor dark strangers.

By this time next month, all the dead will have been looters 'who got what's coming to them'

By this time next year, it will be gospel that the levees will all have been broken not by Katrina, but by Clinton's dick.

I have just about zero faith left in a good two-fifths of the people in this country, and unbounded affection for another two-fifths. Which way that last fifth jumps is going to determine whether we survive as a nation.

I'm not optimistic.

11. If people can make the connection
Between the bullshit Iraq war and the lack of preparedness for a disaster this size, Bush will go down. The fact is that we would be much better able to handle this disaster if we had not invaded Iraq.

Not that we miss him.

16. This is unspinnable!!
There's no way that bushco is going to be able to spin this. The pictures of the thousands stranded and the reports of thousands dead are not going to fade from the public memory quickly.

When people realize that the number of dead eclipses those on 9/11, that justification for the war in Iraq will be taken from bushco forever.

When the people realize that the National Guard and rescue equipment are substantially in Iraq instead of New Orleans, that war will be over quickly.

When Cindy again begins her vigil, she will have an entire country behind her.

The sweater is unravelling very quickly from multiple threads. He's burnt toast. He's crispy critters. He's a cooked goose. He's

The only thing left to do is to name the NOLA refugee camps after him,
Hoovervilles.... Ooops! I mean "Bushtowns".

18. Yes. BUT IT IS GOING TO GET WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER.
These people are BLOOD THIRSTY. They have already murdered thousands of US citizens and they aren't about to let that small body count stop them.

Be told.

19. bush will resign within six months. He'll offer up FEMA's Brown first, but
that won't be enough. For all his sins, bush will ultimately be forced out because he has created dangerous instability in our nation. the bush crime family feeds off chaos, but corprorate globalists desire stability most of all. Public outrage and the corporate fear of instability will force bush out. Not even the repugs in Congress will be able to save him from this. The levees will break, and bush will be swept out to sea.

22. For the first time, I actually think that may happen. The war deception
wasn't enough, Enron wasn't enough, the deficit wasn't enough, 9/11 intelligence failures weren't enough - but this time up to a hundred thousand people have died and there's no spinning this.

24. This is why the op-eds and blogs need to nail Bush down....
starting Sunday with "RESIGN NOW!" in bold.

Please do not give the Bush administration any time to find a way to politically recover from this!

If you have any influence over an op-ed or major blog writer, please encourage them to take the extra step, to demand Bush's resignation.
