Ok they 86ed TIA but I needed a third term to complete my subject line. Anyhoo, I seem to recall mention in the news about how we're sluicing billions and billions of the taxpayer's folding money into these preparedness and prevention agencies.

Where's it going? Doesn't seem to have bought much of tangible value in an emergency. Do they have a good supply of batteries, candles and warm socks over there at FEMA? I ask--even though it seems a frivolous question--because it's obvious they don't own a drop of the other thing I always lay up in my cupboard for an emergency: bottled water.
