Things I'm tired of hearing from the MSM
Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 02:36 AM by Greylyn58
While it appears that some of the MSM are showing signs of regaining their spines and the cahones to ask tough questions, there are some that still us the repug talking points.

I'm sick of hearing:

The President cut short his vacation...
By 2 freakin days!!! Oh the humanity!!!!

When a reporter talks to any of the public officials, whether it be local, state or federal--they all begin with: I'd like to thank President Bush...
Please--thank him for what? What has the weasel actually done? Please, Please Please, stop all this self-congratulatory back-slapping. People need your help not this political circle jerk!

Please stop talking to FEMA's Michael Brown and Homeland Security Chertoff
These two jerks are as clueless as their boss. They had plenty of lead time before Katrina hit to have elements in place and yet here we are 4 days later and people are dying from lack of water and food. God help us if we experience another terrorist attack.

I'm sick at heart for the people of LA, MS, AL. Bush* and his thugs have turned us into a third world country for the rest of the world to see and the MSM have enabled him every step of the way. I think some of the lyrics to Don Henley's song Dirty Laundry are appropriate.

...snip
You don't really need to find out what's going on
You don't really want to know just how far it's gone
Just leave well enough alone, keep your dirty laundry

Kick 'em when they're up, kick 'em when they're down
Kick 'em when they're up, kick 'em when they're down
Kick 'em when they're up, kick 'em when they're down
Kick 'em when they're stiff, kick 'em all around

Dirty little secrets, dirty little lies
We got our dirty little fingers in everybody's pie
Love to cut you down to size, we love dirty laundry

We can do the innuendo, we can dance and sing
When it's said and done, we haven't told you a thing
We all know that crap is king, give us dirty laundry

He just told Mary Landrieu that he was tired of hearing politicians thanking each other while corpses are in the streets being eaten by rats.

5. I might just lose it if I hear a fundie say this again. . .
This is a disaster of almost BIBLICAL proportions.

I even heard one mention Armegeddon.

Funny thing is, I haven't heard a one of 'em imply that by destroying the casinos in Mississippi, maybe God was returning to throw the money changers out.

6. Moron Michael Medved
I scanned past this slime bucket this afternoon. Instead of talking about the human tragedy that HE of all people should have some "moral indignation" about...instead his question is: "Is the Flood Of New Orleans a form of biblical prophecy". Not just insenstive...totally self absorbed. These people need a real good dose of reality and soon!

8. That's another phrase I should have added
because I'm sick of hearing that one too. That one is really annoying.

7. The 'I'd like to first thank president bush' deal
really reminds me of the entire lip-service 'First I'd like to thank god!' deal whenever someone wins anything, and that scares me.
