Hey newsreaders here's a clue: When you report that there are "reports of rape" give a fucking date and a number of victims mmmkay? This is finite and relatively small in relation to the human tragedy elsewhere.

is inappropriate at this point. Did you see the tanks rolling in to town with soldiers glaring at the homeless, guns pointed at every angle? Most people in NO don't deserve that kind of treatment. To continually focus on the small population that do deserve that treatment and subject everyone to the same thing, is ridiculous. It has nothing to do with defending the criminals while it has everything to do with criminalizing the victims.

7. This stuff is going on. The mayor reported it. The military needs to

psychologically come on heavy to get control. They should have been there and heavy on Monday. If it works overnight to turn the odd criminal with a gun into a fleeing criminal with not gun..then it has done its job and rescue can continue in the morning. There are thousands of people who still need search and rescue. Thousands. The military needs to have psychological control of the city by dawn. Otherwise nobody will be helped - again.

Why it too 4 days.. when lawlessness is a known by-product of a situation where the law has lost control..I do not know. THat is some creepy, creepy voids in action on the president's part and it should be looked into.

But for tonight - the psychology is to hit the dangerous & violent criminals over the head so hard with threat and the future might - that they scurry away and drop their guns. Then tomorrow morning.. the National Guard, in numbers finally approaching adequate..can pick up the pieces and get control of the city & allow rescue work to continue.

I don't think police would have resigned their position if they weren't really scared. And many did. It was scary. Tomorrow it will not be. If the psychological hammer "we will shoot to kill" works like the tool that it is.
