Bush will NEVER be held accountable for his actions or inactions
How many times now? How many times have we heard or thought that THIS will be the end of George's reign of terror? That the American people will no longer put up with a 'president' that treats them like shit?

When will DUers finally begin to understand that Bush is 'untouchable'? You're going to be disappointed if you continue to compare him with any other president that is subject to the consequences of his actions or the laws of gravity.

Once again: Bush is nothing but a product of the media (formerly known as the free press) and madison avenue. He's an actor playing a role. A programmed automaton. A puppet on a string. He's an empty vessel that is filled up each day with enough information to pass for a human being. For all intents and purposes...he is a King that rules by divine right.

As Americans and the rest of the world shared the sadness and then amazement over the last several days of watching thousands of people suffer and die as little or no help came their way...George was without a care in the world. He partied. Strummed. Joked. Ate cake. And then he spent probably all of an hour learning the lies and rhetoric that would make him appear 'presidential' again.

And please don't be fooled if the American Corporate Media looked human and humane for a few days. The emotion of the 'reporters' and 'journalists' as they talked about watching rats eating bodies probably meant a rise in ratings so the editors and producers let it go on for a while.

But now be PREPARED as they go into defensive mode and prop up the Boy King again. Always remember that their JOB NUMBER ONE is NOT to inform or tell the truth...it's to keep the Corporate State of Perpetual War going and its figurehead looking infallible.

George is here to stay. He will make no personal sacrifices beyond grabbing another bullhorn and stand on the bodies of another group of people hit by disaster. He will walk away with better poll numbers and the media will talk about his 'resolve', 'straight talk' and being able to 'connect' with the American people.

There will always be someone or something to protect him and keep him from being held accountable or responsible...including his Rubber Stamp Congress and collaborators in the Democratic party.

He's the perfect CEO president for the New Corporate/Military State.

5. I could be wrong here, but Clinton is not thinking of Bush...
Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 05:25 AM by wake.up.america
he is concentrating to doing as much as he can to help those poor souls.

I hope that he and others do stand up and point out Bush needs to accept responsibility for his ineptness. But for Clinton, the time is not now for saying what needs to be said.

7. But like everything else...
...the Corporate Media will make sure it's never connected directly to him. They will make him the victim of the 'liberal media' and 'partisan politics'.

Remember...this is the same 'president' that sat reading with children as America was attacked on 9-11. No only were the terrorists able to attack us without any kind of resistance on Bush's watch...the Media made him into a 'War President'/hero and helped him lie this nation into war.

Give the corporate media another week or two and George will once again come out of this smelling like a rose.

11. America reaches one new low after another with the idiot king

...all part of the plan to enrich the war profiteers, energy and other favored corporate and financial lobbies.

They wanted to drown the baby in the bathtub. Well now they have. When Boeing stock takes a dive, the airline industry will get more subsidies than the gulf coast. The twenty billion after 911 wasn't enough.

14. George is not 'done'. In fact...he has only just started...
Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 06:07 AM by Q
The very institutions and processes that a Democracy depends on to ensure equality and justice for all citizens no longer exists. Free press. Congress. Judicial. Justice. All are now owned by corporate America and their CEO Bush.

Who will bring Bush to justice and make him accountable? The answer is no one....unless the American people rise up and finally demand justice.
