What is La. Gov Blanco trying to prove?

I find it downright idiotic that Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco has called for a "shoot to kill" order against looters when many of those looters are doing it just for pure survival. Go after the gangs that are murdering and raping innocent people. Just don't shoot looters.

BTW....is Blanco a Republican?

command. In general, they are not trained to function as law enforcement but to attack or defend. In this case they must go on the attack.

7. There are two different types of looters in NO right now.

Downtown and in the most affected areas people are taking food and needed supplies. In the Uptown area there are bands of thugs who have stolen weapons roaming the city and breaking into the more affluent homes in that area. These bands of thigs are most lilely addicts and criminals who existed before the floods. They are just criminals and are hampering the relief efforts.

I know for a fact that it is true that thigs with automatic weapons are roaming through Uptown b/c I have talked to more than one person in that area who has told me it is happening.
