it's not nice to criticize the president and the fine job he's doing of ignoring the suffering in new orleans, and concentrating on the global war on the innocent.

2. How can you think of all those poverty stricken people in America
when there are Iraqis to save? How can you even think of spending money on America's infrastructure when Iraq needs freedom?

We know he cut the funding for FEMA. But we're going to lie and spin and dodge the bullet until we even believe our own lies.

16. John Fund On Fascist Friday
I'm surprise there hasn't been a thread on this morning's Washington Journal. Brian's in full kiss-ass/cover-ass mode in the first couple hours. He's running mostly right wing editorials...but even the Washington Moonie Times were critical of their manchild. Seems like the phone lines are stacked and the talking points got out just fine this morning.

Yep...this is "it's too early to blame"...and several other mantras and memes. Another is the Iraq meme "attacking meeester boosh is hurting the relief efforts". I've heard that a couple times this morning.

I can't see how the credibility of these goons has any merit any longer.

20. It's the rethugs' fault and they know it.
They absolutely must be blamed and removed from the chain of command so competent and/or beneficent commanders can take charge.

21. It means "ITS HARD WORK BEIN PRIZNIT!"
It means "Leave Georgie alone for thumb sucking, fetal position under his desk and coloring time."

It means "We screwed up and failed a great American city and we want to find an out."

It means "We are stalling for time because we have to find a political face saving measure."

It means "Photo-op not set up yet...we must wait until the cameras are just right."

It means "The media has turned on us and it hurts our black little hearts."

I could go on here but I won't.

22. It's "Who are you going to believe? Us or your lying eyes?"
The Mighty Wurlitzer is gearing up - the Democrats are obstructionists; the Democrats are politicizing a national tragedy; only because we've focused on Homeland Security was the response as good as it was (it'd be worse under Clenis).

Count on it. They'll be back-slapping each other and proudly proclaiming how good they did. Then they'll try to pass Police State legislation that gives them greater powers and opportunities to plunde the Treasury.
