Anyone else think Bush will infuse California w/money after Ahnold wins?

What a great way to make Ahnold look like the Holy Savior who can balance the budget and turn the debt around - getting a nice infusion of federal cash from Bush. What a perfect way to make Republicans look like heroes, and to set Ahnold up for the real Governorship election a few years off. Bush won't help states, unless he needs those states to win in 2004... Could this be possible, and what would we be able to do about it when media is in both their pockets?

to make a difference in a state the size of California? The $89 billion they want for Iraq is, by all accounts, going to put the cabash on almost all additional spending for the coming year. It wouldn't surprise me if they do try somehting like this, but just like our troop strngth is real shaky for any Iran or Syria incursions, I also think they've broken the bank!

10. Prediction for California recall

Davis defeats the recall by a plurality of 69 to 31. Dems and conservative Repukkks decide it's not worth it, and then Davis will sign a brand new executive order ordering California to bill Darren Issa the amount of the waste-of-time effort at a nice tune of $35 million back to its coffers and furthermore bankrupting Issa.

I know Issa is now against the recall, but he is still eating crow, and we're about to feed him a few more disease-laden crow.

I have said all along the recall will fail. I haven't changed my mind. I've been out there walking precincts, knocking on doors, registering voters - unless there has been mass hypnosis - the recall will fail.

Shrub and Kenneth Lay stole money from California to get Grey Davis sacked, through energy manipulation and high tech outsoucing. They will try to reward Californians with cash as a reward for sacking Davis. It is despicable, I only hope that the people over there, know enough to take the money and run. Hopefully it won't affect 2004, and they'll see through it.
