Bear Bryant was the coach of the Alabama football team for many, many years. He said this about leadership:

"Leaders are self-starters. They say, 'Let's go' and lead. They don't say, 'Sic 'em' and step back to watch the fighters do the work."

Do you hear that, *?!? Do you?? You lead by going first, you coward!

I was in Tuscaloosa when he coached. Alabama had no NCAA violations under his leadership. And he never blamed anyone but himself for a loss.
