Personally, I don't think there is any conspiracy - news breaks when news breaks - and the National Equirer wants to sell papers.

the media focuses the light....they must or the news is gibberish. The repuking fucks have a vast network of reaction/focus groups in teams where they, on a 24 hour basis, run news items past groups in order to gauge reactions....so the media whores know how to present items to soothe or excite the herd depend on what bushinc needs....
much of this is covered by product testing organizations and polling organizations and so on.....and the 'brainwashington' dc sniper case was a handy distraction when bushinc needed it...easy to sell drama etc. I'd bet anyone on DU their very eyesight that some day it will turn out that the 'WTC takedown' was itself really just a distraction/news filler for the BFEE, so baldfaced outrageous that by the time people woke up to the peculiarities, the herd must just shrug its shoulders and go along. Much of the media stuff was prepared (the Olsen ph call crap, the id's/pics of the '19' hijackers, the 'let's roll' bs on flight 93) The thing that would destroy the BFEE was their theft of the election, and the proof (called NORC results) that was coming out in Sept/01, hence 911!
Read 'Babbitt' if you want to understand the mechanics of power politics in USA...the hypocrisy and outright deceit honoured as routine/good biz.
the media needs the death penalty....you're talking thousands of people (to be killed)
