To those of you coming here to disrupt: You don't have an argument
so why bother coming here? There is no defense of the behavior of this Administration. This was not a matter for state and local governments to handle alone. This matter fell under Home Land Security and HLS failed. Your fearless leader failed - he strummed a guitar and ate cake while people died in a mass grave that was supposed to protect them.

You want to blame the people for not leaving, but the government failed to provide a means for them to leave. I posted before the storm that I thought taking them to the Superdome was a terrible idea and that they should have been bused out of the city. Dammit, if I can figure that out, why can't the so called "experts?"

I'm sorry, but when reporters on the ground are crying and pleading for help, something is terribly wrong and help can't just be promised. It needs to be delivered. Today is Friday and people are dying in lawn chairs because these agencies can't figure out how to air drop food and water to these people.

Bush has shown that one brain dead woman is more important to him than thousands of poor people.

So, if you want to come here to disrupt, save it. Save your key strokes. There is NO EXCUSE for this.

1. "There is NO EXCUSE for this. "
It's inhuman to try to excuse anything about this.

2. They're fightin' keyboarders, you know. They think that accomplishes much
:eyes: They like to come here and demand that private citizens like celebrities and corporations take over the relief efforts. Because that makes some sort of sense in their pass the buck world. They're moral cowards.

5. It's too easy for them to blame the victims. They are more concerned
about their precious Walmarts getting looted than they are about babies dying. :( Dwayne Jones was just on MSNBC saying security is NOT a problem at the convention center and there is no reason for help not to arrive.

7. Right on the mark.
Well said.

And you know, underlying the tragedy in the Gulf this week is the great tragedy of our age: that there are so many people in our country today who will STILL defend this worthless excuse of a president.

I mean, by virtually EVERY objective measure, this guy has been a complete and total fuck-up. A failure. He sucks at EVERYTHING.

And yet these right-wing robots will still go out and sing his praises. Not just side with him, or find themselves in agreement with him on some issues, but loudly, aggressively proclaim their sick little love for him.

That's damage, folks. That's a sign that a person is mentally malformed in some way, cognitively impaired in a real, clinical sense.

Where are they coming from? What happened to them, to leave them so broken and deranged? It's scary, it really is. It's like there are zombies or pod people walking amongst us, seemingly human on the outside but so perversely alien on the inside.

It makes the recovery in the Gulf seem easy by comparison, a matter of hammer-and-nails, something you can get your hands on. But how we're ever going to clean up the mess, heal the damage from these horrible, twisted republi-bots is beyond me. There's a sickness in our country, and it's going to kill us all if we don't find a way to confront it.

:(
