GOP: The party of incompetence
They gut infrastructure, defund social services, make the "gummint" the most evil entity known, and look like fools whenever something bad happens. They have consistently shown that their only ability is to line their pockets with money from the citizenry. Mendacity is their method, hate is their emotion, incompetence is their service to us.

2. They are a "smash and grab" gang of looters themselves
They dismantle government functions or privatize them and then siphon off the taxpayers monies into private entitites like Halliburton. They put their patronage compadres like Michael Brown into positions they are clearly unqualified for. Any qualified person would not go along with their plans to gut and pillage the systems they are supposed to be responsible for. This is a clear throwback to the days of Boss Tweed.

5. Let's not forget
...the GOP let wetlands that might have helped serve as natural buffers be developed out of existence.

And they put military-style weapons in the gun stores, and thus into the hands of looters.
