We need to find a way for Halliburton to profit off disaster relief
that's the only way people will be saved.

1. Frankly, I 'm surprised they haven't already sent Halliburton in
to begin repairing the refineries, oil rigs and pipelines.

2. It will happen soon
But, yeah, it seems the only way anthing resembling "humanitarian" activities can get accomplished is if someone associated with the administration can profit from it.

4. "I have authorized a no-bid, no-limit contract for Halliburton to aid ...
... the people of New Orleans."

Can you hear it?

5. Are you kidding? Congress just got off of $10.5 Billion. That will
"Disappear" in a flash, just like the mystery of the $8B in Baghdad.

"Sombody" always profits.

6. You might not like this,
but if that's what it takes to help these people, I'm all for it. Let them roll in with overpriced food and water, as long as they give it to people. We'll deal with them later.

One day this will end, and we will all have to live with our roles in the life or death of hundreds of thousands of our fellow Americams. So far, the response has been embarrassing and incompetent, and I'm ashamed.

9/11 left feelings of defiance and resolve. Katrina will leave feelings of shame. That makes Katrina worse by far.
