1. What about the military bases?

I was in the Air Force and we had many many buses on base to move people to and from the flight line and for mobilization... get the damn miltary buses down there!

2. I've talked to countless retired military personnel who are

beyond baffled at the massive scale of incompetence. I'm just waiting to see some private citizen stand up and say, "Enough! I'm in charge here." and then just getting the job done. Seems like that's what we need now.

3. wonder why they can't get some C-5's into the NOLA Airport

and load them up and ship folks to Houston, SATX and DFW? As I understand the airport is clear and dry. Surely they could bus folks to the airport?

4. I wondered the same thing.

I understand the airport is being used as a triage and medical evacuation center, but surely a portion of it could be used if Delta got in with a supply flight.

ETA: Did the Delta flight land there?
