"We'll get on top of this situation," Bush said

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9157866/

"We'll get on top of this situation," Bush said, "And we're going to help the people that need help."

...

For the first time, however, he stopped defending his administration's response and criticized it. "A lot of people are working hard to help those who've been affected. The results are not acceptable," he said. "I'm heading down there right now."

Thank god! Bush is coming to rescue :puke:

8. Openly implies that they are NOT on top of it
Which is an international disgrace. Not a national disgrace. An international disgrace. No government in the world could behave in this manner and escape scutiny and accountability. They are an international disgrace, and their actions this week will go down in history as one of the grossest displays of negligence ever recorded. Horrific.

10. He crticized the response...
Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 09:32 AM by AValdoux
.. from the agencies he is in charge of. This is called the BUSH administration right? This is like if Sadaam Hussein had made a statement like, "How my regime has terrorized my country is unacceptable." Sadaam Hussein is personally responsible for everything bad that happened in Iraq but Bush is above any question. Its the people around him. Matt Lauer this morning said, "I bet someone gets fired over this" Ya Think?

How much longer is going to get a way with this shit? The reporters on the scene are angry but will it wear off when they aren't faced with such devastation & inhumanity?
