This is the Mississippi River Bridge (US 90) which crosses the river to the south of Downtown. It feeds from the Pontchatrain Expressway, the highway that passes by the Superdome.

NG wasn't allowing people to leave because they have to "keep the highways clear." I wonder if WDSU knows about this?
