But we cannot even get food and water to around 50,000 people in an American city. I just do not understand this. I can see having problems getting the people out of the city. I can see the difficulties in restoring power and getting the levees fixed and getting the water pumped out. I can see all that.
What I just do not understand is how these people, in our country, could be left to rot out in the sun like caged animals. No water. No food. Rotting corpses.
We have literally thousands of cargo planes, thousands of helicopters, tens maybe hundreds of thousands of trucks yet we can't just start air dropping food and water to these people. So what if it's sloppy, drop so much they won't even know what to do with it all. I'm talking Berlin airdrop style, by the thousands. I just don't understand why I'm not watching video of supplies parachuting into New Orleans right now.
