both of my parents died of cancer. This fraud artist is going to cause the deaths of many more people needlessly who forego cancer treatment based on his claims. People with cancer are desparate. They will do anything to try and combat the disease. this man has been jailed for fraud. He hawks anything to make money for himself. He has no medical training and has know knowledge base upon which to make these claims.
On my husband's side of the family, I have a chiropractor who has somehow convinced the rest of them for the most part that medical treatment is bad. They are actually not giving their son (age 4) who has asthma bronchodialators when he has an attack because they say the treatment isn't "natural". I watch this little guy wheeze and they just pound him on the back and give him a sulphur tablet!
My mother in law who is afflicted with rheumatoid arthritis and has had multiple cardiac bypasses has stopped seeing MDs and is taking the advice of a chiropractor, who she calls doctor, and a naturopath and has started taking all sorts of supplements which have negatively effected her blood work. Of course, she says the doctors at the labs are quacks.
There are also supplements out there that are manufactured with dried bovine organs, bone tissue, adrenal glands, etc. that have no vitamin content whatsoever. The theory is that if you take a supplement with dried animal organs/bones that address deficiencies you have, the bovine cells will regenerate human cells in the affected areas of your anatomy. There is absolutely no evidence that this works and common sense dictates that animal cells won't regenerate into human ones. Also, the organs taken are from the prime sites where the prions that cause BSE (mad cow) are generated. Heating doesnt destroy the prions. There have been cases in the UK where people who have taken these supplements have developed the human form of mad cow disease.
While I do think that there are nutritional/herbal supplements that are very beneficial, saying that something can cure cancer, stop a heart attack, etc is beyond irresponsible!
