Turns out the Freepers hate animals, too (See how they hate)
Some well-meaning soul started a thread about how to help animals. Big mistake.

It's time to set these weenies straight and make them understand that an animal's life is secondary to human life.

These groups and their resources should be focused on saving people instead of yammering....

Exactly. If ONE human dies because these moonbats were saving dogs and cats, they should be charged with muder (depraved indifference).

True liberal sentiment. I really wish my people would learn this. Dogs and cats can swim, birds can fly. and dogs will drink from a toilet bowl. My only real concern is disease from dead animals.

When all the humans have been helped, then we can turn our attention to dumb animals.

Well, in a state of emergency, anyone expending resources on rescuing animals when people are in danger should be prosecuted.

Save a dog and you're going to have to give it water that a human could have.

In New Orleans, one ounce of effort saving animals before every human has food, water, and shelter, is criminally stupid!

Money for dogs while people are dying? Talk about misplaced priorities. Get real.

Um, to donate money to save cats and dogs when people are dying and otherwise in desperate need is criminal.

In times like this the only reason to save animals is to kill them to eat them.

Animals are LESS than important in this case.

I advocate taking resources from animal rescue to save people, in this situation.

Am I missing something? We're not living in caves. We don't have to kill Rover and Fluffy here. If * and his minions would just pony up and do the job instead of smirking for photo-ops, people would have meals again.

5. Odd, they're perfectly fine with blowing other people up instead of
taking care of our own, but god forbid someone should care about Fluffy and Rover.

9. They make a good point though
Of course I would like to take my dog with me if a boat came to rescue me... but if I had to choose between taking my dog and taking my aunt, I'd shed some tears but I'd take my aunt instead.

10. Or, your aunt could let Patches ride on her lap...
There are very few instances where it truly does come down to "choose between a person and an animal".
