Need more troop presence...

The press conf he gave yesterday said they were evac'ing, he got off the press conf forund it was stopped, then they restarted and now stopped again...

They still have staff and neo-natal patients...

"Today is the day to complete this evac - in some areas we are out of food and water - we are giving staff IV's for rehydration..."

Ah, there goes the good PR he thought was going to happen. What the hell? American citizens shouldn't be used as a photo op.

7. Briefing on levee work...
Sandbagging continues... Ferry operations are starting for evacuees... Ferry service has been discontinued because of rescue ops...

They're listing the areas for local people, and I can't type fast enough... I'm sure WWL is going to put all this up on their webpage; they're doing a tremendous job. They were the ones who interviewed Mayor Nagin that's been on AAR and CNN today...
