Why Rush is NOT racist

The fact of the matter is, Limbaugh's highly biased remarks are found wholly acceptable to a certain segment of our society. While I in no way apologize for that transgression, these people are in significant control of popular opinion, and I'm told we have to be "moderate" in times like these

Truer words were never spoken. What we need to do to change it, is acknowledge that it does exist on a rampant scale. Once it's out in the open we can begin the process of reforming institutions which have the most adverse effect on minorities based on racist bias. And there is no other institution more ripe for change, than our criminal justice system.

What I meant, and it obviously didn't come out right because I was in such a hurry, was the manner in which you managed to attack racism and get in a dig about moderates at the same time with this line: "I'm told we have to be "moderate" in times like these."

That sometimes just shouting "Racist!" at someone doesn't do any good, it's best to try to figure out why they're saying that and address that problem. In this case, I doubt any duers will be having a heart to heart with Rush anytime soon...but in similiar situations being moderate and calming...can end up being effective in swaying opinion.
