There Could Be 10,000 Dead

That is what Raw Story is reporting right now.

The good news is that the Army has finally arrived.

The bad news is that there may still be 50,000 people stuck on their roofs.

You know, this whole thing is just unbelivable.

So what have we learned? If there is a disaster or a terrorist strike - you are on your own. For God's sake, don't wait for the Federal Govt.

Those trapped on their roofs have now been without water for about four days. Many have no doubt already died. Many more will die before help arrives. DAMN this Administration!

Where do they think government gets the money, from us, that's who and we should be able to expect a small return on all the money we have contributed over the years. Not a hand-out, an investment for when an emergency happens....

Most of the ones that are white died when the hurricane hit. I'm willing to bet that most of the rest are black and were preventable deaths. Too bad Bush refused to do anything to prevent them before it was too late.

There are just lots and lots of poor blacks. There will be plenty of dead white people too.

The thing that gets my goat is how all of the rescuers assume that if you are a black victim then you are dangerous. I'm looking for a man that was like a father to me when I was going through some really difficult times in my life. He lives in the ninth ward and may very likely be among those at the convention center. He is the kindest, nicest person I have ever known. He salso happens to have black skin. The vast vast majority of those people are just like my friend.
