29. Great VP ? Perhaps. Lousy VP candidate? Most definitely.

His performance thus far during the campaign goes a long way towards explaining why he was passed over for VP three times.

And frankly, I'm not even sure that adding Graham to the ticket in 2004 could guarantee Florida's electoral votes. It might make more sense to have him run for the Senate and do some kind of coordinated campaign, with Graham's organization working to turn out voters for both races. I also don't think Graham would win in a walk were he to run again, since he can no longer count on the same level of cross-over support from Republicans and GOP-leaning independents that he's enjoyed in the past.

Graham's candidacy was going no-where. He is a real nice guy, but a bit wifty, I think. Keeping minute by minute journals, including things about when he takes a leak is a tad odd.

But I like the guy. He is one of the "real" politicos. He'd make a good VP. We could take Florida.

He was one of the more conservative candidates. I thought he shined in the FOX debate, but I can't get over his voting record - Patriot Act - and his push for war against Syria and his embarrassing C-SPAN covered meeting with the Syrian foreign minister.

It's good that he's out because it's one moderate less, but I'll miss him a little.

He voted against Chimpy's tax cut, and he voted against Ashcroft's appointment.

I didn't know anything about Graham until his run for president, and I must say, I have come to like, admire, and respect the man. He is definitely an asset to the Democratic Party.
