morons* polls are going to drop. He can parade around playing, "look I have a big dick" all he wants but people are opening their eyes. When the numbers of dead start coming out, more scales will fall from the eyes of the sheeple.

colossal failure*.

3. That's it!
Right now the media CAN spin it in his favor, because afterall, he arrived there today.

When it comes out that 10,000 people died, they'll start to ask why he wasn't there on tuesday!

5. No, they lost a huge chunk of the voters in the middle
The base will always exist. There's really only 33 percent who are hardcore Bush supporters. The rest are less ideological.

6. Sure lost alot of base in LA
So many of the repukes with whom I work are just aghast at bush's response and the fed gov'ts response...it's all they can talk about. They feel betrayed.

11. I don't think he needs to worry, he won't be in another election...
and they can always find a new man to put forth their platform in 2008. Maybe they'll lose a bit in 2006.

13. I would go so far as to say
that he lost a big chunk of red voters in Mississippi and Alabama as well as Louisiana, those people who fled ahead of the storm don't have the unlimited resourses of the trent lotts of the world.
Also, the piss poor job of aid and preparation there is going to mess with him, in the coming weeks and months, he'll be down to only the very hard core.
Average Americans won't stand for the ammount of pain that will be coming unless someone acts very very quickly.
