Plenty of Dems have already criticized Bush. A full-throated roar isn't what we need now. We need a steady stream of criticism for the next few months to keep Bush's dereliction in full view of the people.
Right now, we need to clean up, help the people out, and make damage assessments and figure out how many people died. In a few months, there will be hearings -- you can count on it.
In a few months time, gas will be (or will have been) well over $4 per gallon, the weather will be cold, and heating fuel will be extremely expensive. People will be dying from the cold, if Bush reacts to the winter's crises like he's reacted to this one.
And in that cold, harsh winter, Bush will have to explain why he waited four full days before doing anything.
At that time, we must bring the hammer down, and bring it down hard.
