Not NO related, but that stupid sexist Maytag commercial on AAR
Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 03:54 PM by Skidmore
is making me crazy!!! Do men get noticed at the office and promoted because they change the brand of washing machine they do their laundry in? This is the effin' 21st century, isn't it?

1. That is definately one of my 3 most hated AAR commercials
The other two are the Kevin Trudeau cancer curing book commercial and the commercial that starts out saying that states with laws preventing internet scams are holding you back from making easy internet money.

7. Not in this house.
My husband would break my arm if I touched his washer or dryer.

3. Give Maytag a break
those are death throes you hear from them. They won't be around a year from now.

I agree, the commercial is reprehensible - I just feel bad for Maytag, its traditionally very Blue work force and the small soon to be dead small town that has housed Maytag for almost 80 years, Newton IA.

4. I am glad Air America has commercials so they can stay on the
air. They also don't have to worry about a Republican Congress cutting their funds and can speak freely like Randi Rhodes. I will take it commercials and all over the controlled censored atmosphere on NPR. These complaints about commercials is making em laugh at Free Republic.

5. Did you complain to AAR and Maytag?
Why not post info for the rest of us to do that? (And PM me if you do, since things are moving SO fast I can't keep up and would surely miss it.)

Thanks!

6. I thought it was just me.
That commercial drives me over the edge. I own the Maytag Neptune & love the machine, but doubt I'd ever buy another Maytag after hearing that ad over & over again.
