I asked why she didn't know about Venezuela. It was the only one that knew for absolutely sure at that time.

She was all clueless, totally clueless. Now where would she be getting her news, or should I call it the daily dose of kool aid? We were uh...arguing but hubby made me stop. We were having dinner out.

sorry about that.

I'm hoping she might be embarrassed for letting Faux or Limpbrain misinform her, but I'm not holding my breath. She seems to really like the koolaid.

Add the UN and the EU to that list.

Annan urges help for generous U.S. after Katrina
Fri Sep 2, 2005 3:53 PM BST

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan urged the world on Friday to show the same generosity to the United States in helping it recover from Hurricane Katrina as Americans demonstrated in crises like the Asian tsunami.

"The Americans are usually very generous in assisting in other crises," Anna told reporters in Sweden.

"Now they have had this serious blow and I think we should try and help President (George W.) Bush and the administration, the American Red Cross and NGOs...who have been our partners in other crises around the world like the tsunami," said Annan.

The U.S. government has received offers of help from around the world after the hurricane devastated New Orleans and other parts of the U.S. Gulf Coast, killing possibly thousands of people.

But many governments and bodies like the European Union say there has not yet been any request for assistance and Bush has said America can take care of itself. Criticism is mounting that his administration was slow to respond and ill-equipped to help.

11. there was a guy all over the news saying that too
so no wonder she believes it---someone whose name I didn't catch but he was described as a philanthropist (I think from Phila?)

said that we offer aid to others but no one cares about us, that *everyone* has to keep their citzens in with fences we build fences to keep them out. It was disgusting and he was quite pleased with himself for all the assistance they were going to get from him through the Red Cross

it was appalling---I think it was that Rita Crosby/Cosby/whatever show I saw for the first time ever (and the last---what a nitwit)

so, of course she believes that, no one is saying much that is different on tv news
