Superdome!!!!! The woman talking to Wolf just said that they were able to get out of the hotel when 18 buses with guards showed up for them. They were expecting 8 but 18 showed up.

WTF!!!! This is outrageous. I am happy that these people were able to get out but this IS nothing buy racism at work. The rich and white get 10 more buses than they need and thousands are still on the overpass and at the Superdome? How does this happen? These people had armed guards and everything and they were able to get the buses in and out last night! I AM SCREAMING!!!!! I can only imagine what it feels like to be black in this country my soul is aching!!!!!!

17. I posted that evacuation plan yesterday when I heard it on CNN and

most of the responses were that they thought that was a good thing. I, personally, thought leaving those that had somewhere to go, a safer place to stay that wasn't housing so many people and had not run out of food yet was a better idea then removing the tourists.

The plan was - the sick first. That made sense to me. Then the tourists. I wondered why not those that were stuck with no food and no water and in numbers that were causing riots in their very shelter.

It boggles my mind.

That would mean that rich people needed to sit next to other people... There are two seats next to one-another, so you need 16 buses at least and you can't mix the personnel with the elite either, so 18 sounds just about right

24. I have mixed feelings

Marriott (who owns this Ritz) chartered busses and hired armed security for all of their hotel guests. I don't fault Marriott for doing this -- it was the right thing to do.

The fact that they could actually FIND busses to charter is horrible, why hasn't FEMA commendeered every bus in the nation?

I personally don't think anyone begrudges those doctors getting drugs, OR anyone else getting things neccisary to survive.

Someone explain to me how arson and shooting the gaurd's, as well as TV's and the like are neccissary.

Good on Marriott, bad on this abysmal effort to fix things.
