Did the duck tape work?
Seriously... after 9-11 we got so use to "terror" threats and Bush saying we need to put the government in order to deal with a massive terror attack. We had so many drills to evacuate citizenry if a terror attack happened.

We created a Department of Homeland Security, we threw money at the problem so we can be "prepared" should another attack happen.

We needed to be able to evacuate an entire metropolitan area if need be.

So where did all that money go?

We can not even safely evacuate a metro area 5 - 6 days after a natural disaster?

Or were all of those tax dollars used to political gain and to keep America thinking "the threat is out there, stand by your President." Did all that money we threw at setting up systems to evacuate folks from a city just go by the wayside?

The “conservatives” in America should be pissed that we made “big government” bigger and put more bureaucracy in place to protect the American citizenry during tragic times.

It is time for the Republicans to call a spade a spade…

2. The Duck tape would only really work if we could get all the neocons
to have a whole role wrapped around each of their heads. Then things would work again. Right now..everything is supposed to fall apart - because that is what you do when you break down people's belief systems.

3. IT WORKED GREAT!
After all--it took 3 days for Bush to work himself out of the plastic tarps and duct tape in Crawford.

5. I don't think the FBI finding out what I read at the library
really helped in their plans to evacuate New Orleans, do you?

6. Think of all the toe nail clippers they have collected as a result of
heightened alerts and security. I think we are much safer.
