Watching BBC World on PBS...
A reporter asked a question to Bush about whether the high costs of the Iraq war had something to do with the tragedy...

Bush responded basically that he/we have a responsibility to defend the country in the war on terror. (sorry if my paraphrasing is inaccurate, but that's fairly close)

Oh my gawd... he's still claim the Iraq war is part of the war on terror, WHILE EVERYONE IS WATCHING.

2. The fact that the administration's weak response
to this event in n.o. and the lack of security at the southern boarder should make more people think about this war on " terra".

3. That shot of the hellicopter pushing stuff out the door for people to grab
at was shocking.

The woman was right. They expect old people and children to run over there and fight for scraps?

Would it be too much for them to get out of the helicopter and treat people like human beings?

Also that shot of all those cops surrounding the grocery store to get ONE HUNGRY LOOTER while there were so many people wondering where the help was.

Disgusting.

4. Yes, BBC went out of their way to highlight that point. I was so ashamed.
