The Stock Market hasn't noticed Katrina.
This seems almost surreal to me. A major port city is destroyed, millions are homeless and thousands dead, and the barometer of commerce and dreams hardly hiccups.

3. There's a good reason the NYSE can't see her.
Katrina happens to be an African-American single mother, with three children, struggling at the poverty level.

Those have always been invisible to them.

4. The stock market hasn't noticed record unemployment either.
Or the rising oil prices. I fear the day when it does.

5. Hey, high gas prices are GOOD for them!
More profit! Plus, think of all the money people are wringing out of their wallets to go to Home Depot, etc, to rebuild. BUYING OPPORTUNITY!
