People at my local watering hole were openly mocking Bush today

I had an urge for an afternoon beer and stopped in a restaurant/bar called Buffalo Wild Wings here in Central Florida. They had the big screens on and the volume up while Bush was speaking---- and I gotta tell you, everybody in the place was commenting on what a douche bag Bush is. I've never seen anything like it. The congressman of my small town is Repuke scumbag Tom Feeney for gawd sakes so it's pretty damn conservative around here.

White collar, blue collar, the servers, everybody was in a loud vocal way ripping Bush. It was amazing.

Not trying to start a flamewar, but it's been said before that Kerry didn't resonate with average Americans. I know at least one person who felt that way and it gave Bush a vote.

is that Bush comes from exactly the same blue-blood East Coast Ivy League elite Kerry does. Kerry was a much better candidate than Bush in all regards, but Bush had a fake Texas accent and good PR people (and, of course, Rove) helping him to assume a completely invented persona. They actually managed to portray Bush as "the guy you'd want to have a beer with". What's happening now, I think, is that people are realizing that they wouldn't want to have a beer with him... that he's even more of an elitist than Kerry and couldn't give a shit about ordinary people.

broke into a school in NOLA and searched through all the bus keys (there was a parking lot full of school buses just SITTING unused) until he found one for a bus he picked, and drove around NOLA picking up 100-some refugees, they all pooled their money and gassed up 3 times and he drove them to the Houston Astrodome. They were the first bus there (ther renegade bus). He had NEVER driven a bus before.
