I've yet to see any video footage taken from inside the Superdome. Were reporters not let in? If reporters weren't allowed in to the Superdome, what excuse was given to keep them out?

that was probably it.
Brian Williams was covering it and reporting from there. Reported the first rips in the roof. It was dark, though - so once the hurricane hit and electricity was out - not much in the way of visuals.
