Fox Reports: NG not allowing people to leave Convention Center
Geraldo and Shepard smith revolted on live tv. The NG has locked people inside the convention center and are not allowing them to cross into neighboring Gretna. Geraldo broke into tears and told Hannity to knock his spin off that people are dying and it is worse than "Willowbrook". (the mental hospital of death in Staten Island that he exposed back in the '80 that made his career)

22. You'll have a better chance of getting an answer
if you ask the troops.

After all, they're the ones who are actually sticking automatic weapons in the victims' faces and preventing them from reaching safety under penalty of death.

Soldier confirms Chile Stadium killings
Tuesday, 27 June, 2000, 08:53 GMT 09:53 UK
A former army officer in Chile has said numerous executions took place in Santiago's national stadium in the aftermath of the 1973 military coup.

Former non-commissioned officer Roberto Saldias said on national television that he saw prisoners taken off for execution at the stadium when he was on guard duty.

They took the law in their own hands," he said, adding he was prepared to provide the names of the executioners.

According to an official report, more than 3,000 people were killed under General Pinochet's regime and more than 1,000 are still unaccounted for.

7. What could they possibly hope to accomplish by doing this?
Is this some experiment to see just how far they can go?

At first I believe that this was sheer incompetence and criminal negligence. Now, I am beginning to believe it is much more sinister.

9. I posted that same thought yesterday
that this may be a test. The thread was removed. So were others like it. After the photo-op this morning it was looking like I was right. And if this is true, if people are being held hostage in NO then we are in deeper shit than I thought.

12. Geraldo won an Emmy for Willowbrook, excellent investigative reporting
He weeped for that story too, one of incredibly inhumane treatment at a Staten Island mental health facility that left its patients lying in their own excrement for days at a time. At that time he reported for ABC-NY Eyewitness News and had a very good reputation.

14. I heard that on Fox although I thought what they were referring
to was the Convention area and not the center itself. Shepard Smith said there is a checkpoint on the bridge/overpass and they will not let them pass, they are turned back.

Geraldo was saying let them go, let them walk out!

This is the first time I've heard they were being held at that location. I do not know the area and thought they were surrounded by water which is why they stayed.

Does anyone know if they could have walked out days ago? I'd be curious to know when this checkpoint was set up, today, yesterday or a couple of days ago.

Don't panic...

On edit: I don't really like how she's saying that the people remaining in NO are wrong for not evacuating. WTF?
