It can't be ignored. Even the Corporate Media is on board here. What has been allowed to happen in New Orleans was too much. It ripped away the masks of compassionate conservativism and revealed it for what it is...just another illusion cast by the rich corporatists over the people of America.
The people are seeing it now. It's all over the TV. They've been watching the people in New Orleans suffering, crying for help, and watched how slow this administration was to respond.
The gap between rich and poor has never been so intimately exposed. The news isn't hiding the fact that many of these people didn't flee because they had no means to do so.
What happened is a PRIME example of class warfare...perpetrated on behalf of the rich and influential against the poor and vulnerable. It's more than just incompetence, though I'm sure that played a part. It's about sending our men and women to a foreign land for the sake of oil and profits, leaving the homeland naked and unprotected. It's about stealing money from important infrastructure projects in such a way that emergency preparedness is compromised.
THIS IS WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU ELECT REPUBLICANS.
The Great Depression. Unnecessary and possibly illegal wars. Katrina. The utter destruction of a historic American City!
Bush played guitar while people were drowning...the comparison to Nero and Rome is unavoidable.
The Secretary of State went to see a Broadway show and went shopping while men, women, children, and infants died.
Dems! If you're for real, quit recoiling from the charge of "Class Warfare."
Just look 'em in the eye and say "Damn straight. You declared it and we looked the other way. For a while. But not now. We're done. This is no game. People have died and the gloves are off.
"It's not even class warfare anymore. It's bare-knuckle brawling. You pigs have gotten away with too much already. Now it's time to start giving back what you've stolen from the American people. It's time you gave them back their dignity."
"If you don't, we're going to make you."
