Guess they cut me out of the PBS BBC News broadcast.... oh well

It seems that in the PBS broadcast of the day's world news roundup, they cull from the live feed which goes out on BBC News 24. Since I was just a "filler" interview, it didn't appear on the PBS broadcast. I wrote the producer to thank him for the opportunity and asked if there was any possible way to get a digital video file to put up on the site. We'll see.

It was certainly an interesting experience, and I'm glad I did it. Even though it didn't go out here, it went out live on BBC News 24 at the time.

7. This happens frequently. They get all kinds of footage from

all over the place and only a fraction is played. You may be surprised to find out that they show it some other time though on a slow news day.

Who knows you might be asked again or your snip will end up in another report down the line. When you agree to be on one of the News programs even the BBC...don't you have to sign a waver that your clip belongs to them forever. :shrug: You may reappear when you least expect it. :D

15. I hate that - that happened to me on Lou Dobbs,,

I made a big deal out of being on the Lou Dobbs show, all excited, told everyone here, emailed all my relatives, drove throught 3 HOURS of LA traffic to the studio - where they did make up on me and then I sat in front of a large night time display of LA (right next to the Larry King set, went over later and sat in his chair) -- they interviewed me about my site, being a veteran (it was a show about veteran's rights and Bush ripping them off), interviewed for a good ten minutes, feeling good, great questions and energy with the interviewer, etc..

Then drove all the way back at full speed to see myself on TV (no TIVO, couldn't set up the VCR, it's my wifes) sat down and watched the whole show only to see ONE SENTENCE sort of thrown arbitrarily in there along with street bum vets, etc..

SO Dissapointing but part of the game, their game actually, that why WE want to Takebackthemedia..

BUT WHAT did you talk about? Questions? Statements? "Just the Dirt Dearie" as my aunt Peanut used to say :)

You would have or were well recieved, everyone is bashing this bastard all day, amazing!
