Almost got kicked out of my RW mom's house for anti-bush rant
I was complaining about the crappy education my kids are getting and how much we've had to pay in so far since school started. She was on about 'well, there is so little money for the schools'. Then I said if it wasn't for that 500 billion dollar a year illegal and immoral war we could give our kids a decent education.

She hated that one...said something and I popped off that bush is a pathetic president no matter how good of a christian she thinks he is.

I told her that the only thing he hasn't done at this point is kill 6 million people (hitler reference, I know, but I couldn't stop)

It was like, I blew and couldn't stop today. I told her that it's not rich people dying in NO. It's the poor and old who COULDN'T leave. I said we live in such a great country that babies are dying because of the clusterfuck of clusterfucks is happening on bush's watch.

Before I said anymore, I went home, but I think I'll be allowed back if I want.

Frustration after frustration kept building on me today and I couldn't stop once I started.

2. Yeah tensions are really high recently.
I'm ranting constantly, and I'm glad I only get to deal with the non-religious types of RWers. At least they can hold a discussion without breaking into completely irrelevant stuff all the time.

4. It's worse now than it was
My RW mom got all worked up about some letter in the paper complaining about SUVs and their gas guzzling ways.

I told her that it's only a car and she shouldn't take it as a personal attack...but she does. I honestly don't get that. It's a freaking car...yeah, a gas guzzling SUV is what she owns...but she won't believe it no matter what. go figure

5. I did that right after bush was installed in 2000
I actually hung up on my own mother after asking her what the fuck was in her head.

I told her that "I was not raised this way" and hung up then we didn't speak for three weeks.

You know what?

Five years later she is probably more *liberal* than I am and she despises bush.

To coin a phrase "It's only castles burning"

doesn't spend half his income on weapons.

But the US gov't does.

16. well Cyan
If you get kicked out and want to come to NJ I have a spare bedroom, bath and walk in closet, it would be tight but you would have somewhere. If, I lived at home, I would've been booted already.

I live in a really good school district and NJ has really good schools. I am sincere in my offer.

18. Your Mom wouldn't even have the right to vote and express her opinion...
...in this "democracy", if it weren't for a Democrat - Woodrow Wilson - giving her that right. Perhaps she needs a history lesson.
