My God...BBC is showing things the MSM haven't shown
it is just plain shocking beyond words. I can't even find the words.

For those that can get it, BBC World is on PBS.

5. They went down into the streets of New Orleans
and had video of the people who are now living in the French Quarter. Everything is destroyed and they are just sitting around waiting for help that will never come.

15. They showed groups of people begging for someone to help, someone to
bring food without any sign of anyone anywhere helping.

Then they cut to a shot of a dozen police, guns drawn, surrounding a grocery store with a single looter inside trying to find food.

The implication couldn't have been more obvious.

8. I get a BBC channel from cable...I haven't had the courage
or strength right now to look. If I do, I'd probably not be responsible for my actions after I did...

10. This BBC reporter went to the Convention Center
and he and his camera man showed parts on NO the MSM hasn't shown and they went into parts of the Convention Center showing the dead bodies that a being piled up in one area. Horrifying.

Then they filmed a chopper arrive in a nearby parking lot and just push out bottled water and I think some food. NO ONE even got out of the chopper...they just pushed it out. One woman was screaming about how they were being treated like animals(totally agreed).

Then as he talked and filmed they turned the camera away from these suffering people and pointed it down the street. He said that the police now seemed more concerned with 1 looter in a grocery store then the thousands of people around them.

Also showed the bodies of people floating in the water. God! It was awful.

Oh and thanks for the nice comment on my Sheridan. He's my baby(9 yrs old now) :)

14. The thing about the helicopter was that kids could run out and grab the
stuff they were pushing out (albeit while being totally dehumanized), BBC panned back to an area that was all old people and babies and mothers who couldn't run out and scrap over food.

13. powerful reporting
You see a very rare glimpse of the inside of the convention center. People are allowed to speak and voice their concern to the reporter.
One rather disturbing image - about 2 or 3 police cars, with multiple officers in the process of apprehending a couple of looters - not even 20 feet down the street from the center. This begs the question; if the cops can drive their cars that close to the center, what excuse is there not to evacuate these poor people, or at least bring food, water, and other supplies?

Why is it day 6 and people are still stranded in the city. Why give a fuck about looters at this point?

I am sickened and pissed off more than any words can describe.
