Please keep kicked! Thanks! If you can foster or adopt an animal at your local shelter, that will also help make room for the newly rescued animals.

We're based in Orlando, and we'll be loading up as many vans full of pet food and supplies as possible, driving them to the hurricane damaged areas, and then returning with as many homeless pets as we can safely fit in the vans (these animals would otherwise be euthanized immediately). See our website for more details. Donations accepted via paypal.

Thanks all!

1. HELPING THE ANIMAL VICTIMS OF KATRINA
Thank you so, so much for providing the links. Have emailed widely. I was looking for just such a list to help make donations. Thank you. I was hoping that atleast all those who did evacuate did take their pets but as we saw here in St. Louis, at these worst of times humans accrue more bad karma by the simple act of taking along their pets. They actually think their pets will somehow be fine in a situation they themselves are escaping !! This is with notice and leaving on time - not a sudden say earthquake and barely escaping themselves etc.

HSUS needs money. ANY amount, no matter how small, will help.

NOAH'S WISH needs stuff - see their website - and money; again, even the smallest donation helps.

Not only are you helping the animals, you're helping people - having a beloved animal companion rescued is one of the best things to give a NOLA/MS victim. It's a gift of love and hope.
