This is one of the biggest virology research centers in the nation. They are studying SARS, EBOLA, MARBURG, etc... Not to mention HIV, TB...

Is this lab in tact? I've read a lot of speculation on other forums that there may be something to this.

5. Well, I have bad news for the poor viruses.....................

without electricity, the poor little cultures will have died fairly quickly in the heat and humidity. Now, if they had any lyophilized (freeze-dried) samples in sealed glass vials, that's another matter. But if those just broke, and no host animal (read: human)available to infect, they will die.

I am a lot more worried about cholera and typhoid. And gangrenous wound infections. And diabetics dying of a lack of insulin.

8. I don't think this will prove a danger. They will lose their reference

samples in the freezers as they thaw and decompose, but I don't believe people will be infected.
