BUSH LEAVES NOLA - EVACUATIONS STOP - NO REASON GIVEN
While Bush was in NOLA on his photo-op, Blackhawks were filling the sky over his head. Now that he has left town for a nice comfortable room and a good dinner, they have stopped evacuating people from the Superdome without explaining why and they are saying the people may have to stay there until Sunday.

This is unconscionable.

2. Notice all those 'State Troops' are White
You would think in a State like LA with such a huge black population that they would have had at least one black on that vehicle.

4. The Blacks Are In Iraq
Really, I am glad the troops are there because some of the people were getting out of hand, some may justify it (and make some good points), but the fact is other people were getting hurt by their fellow citizens.

I hope they are helping distribute food, water and medical care, not just threatening people who are utterly traumatized and need help

6. Do you see any food and/or water?
The only food and water these people got was for yesterday photo op while Bush was in the region. As soon as he left the convoys stopped.

7. Give me a break, this is a big country
there are 1000's of place these people could be brought to.

The Highway coming into NO from the West is free and clear, yet no one is being allowed to leave the city.

Even if they can't relocate these people, there is no good reason not to bring the aid to them. There should be no problem supplying these people with all the food and water that they need at this point, yet nothing absolutely nothing is being done for them.

This is GENOCIDE. Wake up and smell the putrid fumes.

8. There are many empty army bases throughout the US, also
just to get them out of NOLA, they can be temporarily moved to large state parks. The people are dying inside of the Superdome and the Convention Center. Some relief MUST be given. Why don't FEMA and it's Bush-appointed leader and the Homeland Security Czar have some kind of intelligent plans to fall back on. That is what leaders are SUPPOSED TO DO..

9. ANYWHERE, take them anywhere.............
just get them out of that disease infested hell-hole into some clean, fresh air. I'll bet they wouldn't mind being dropped off anywhere along I-10 to fend for themselves (although that would be a pretty shitty thing to do), but just get them away from the one place that reminds them of all the misery and destruction in their lives.
Anywhere is better than where they are at the moment.
